KARACHI – Mercury levels may rise up to more than 40 degrees Celsius in Karachi on Tuesday and Wednesday according to prediction made by the Meteorological Department.

Due to the developing system of low pres
sure off the Indian coast in the Arabian Sea, the sea breeze along the Pakistan’s coastline will weaken.
Due to which the temperatures along Pakistan’s coastal line will weaken and the coastal areas particularly Karachi will be affected from a moderate heat wave condition,” press statement states.
Experts have advised public to remain cautious over the upcoming severe heat conditions. Officials also advise that to avoid any sort of heatstroke, fluid i
ntake must be encouraged more to avoid dehydration, the head surface must be covered to not directly ex
pose it directly to the raging heat rays and also avoid direct
exposure to peak sunlight hours.
