PESHAWAR: The Peshawar police on Friday arrested a three-member gang for printing fake Pakistani c
urrency notes.
According to the details, the police raided a warehouse located near Ring Road and seized Rs60 million in fake c
urrency.
SSP Operations Javed Iqbal informed reporters during a news conference that durin
g the raid at the warehouse a counterfeit money printing machine was also seized, w
hile th
ree accused were arrested.
The police official said the th
ree accused had plans to print an additional Rs
90 million in fake c
urrency denomination of Rs5,000, Rs1,000 and Rs500.
